Automatically restoring your setting? [ FAQ ]

If for some reason your Business Internet software settings get deleted, or changed, you might need to restore them. There are two methods for restoring your settings: manually and automatically.

Restoring your settings manually is probably faster if you need to restore just a couple of settings. The automatic method is easier and restores all your settings.

NOTE: If you can't restore your settings automatically (perhaps because you aren't using the Business Internet software), you will have to perform the operation manually.

Manually restoring your software settings

Automatically restoring your software settings

Automatically restoring your software settings requires that your use the Account Setup Wizard, which is part of your Business Internet software. To use the Account Setup Wizard you must have already set up your Business Internet account and have successfully accessed and used the Business Internet service.

If you no longer have the Account Setup Wizard, you must reinstall your Business Internet software.

You will need the following pieces of information before you continue.

To restore your software settings automatically

  1. With Windows 95/98, click , select Program Files, select Business Internet, then click Account Setup.
With Windows 3.1 and Macintosh, double-click the Account Setup icon.
  2. Click the Restore previous settings option.
  3. Your dialup and e-mail settings should be restored automatically and you should be able to connect to the Business Internet service as before.
